Dear All,

I am immensely pleased to join my alma mater where I will have an opportunity to work with you all. I would also like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to the generous welcome that I have received from all of you. Insha’Allah, we will work together to address all the challenges and take IBA to greater heights.

I understand that there are certain areas of improvement in HR due to understaffing and other administrative issues, but we are working committedly to resolve them as per the expectations of all our stakeholders. Human resource is the most important asset of any organization and we have developed a forward-looking & solution-oriented HR strategy / road map that will be shared with you soon.

Moreover, I would also like to reassure you that we have noted down all pending matters that were piled up for some time. The HR team is all geared up to initiate an action plan, providing prompt solution to all requests and working on more pressing matters, as per sensitivity and impact.

I would like to meet you all and listen to your ideas, goals, and aspirations. I have visited several departments recently and shall continue to do so. I have an Open-Door Policy for my office; you may visit, discuss/share any concern, follow-up on any matter. I might not be able to solve them immediately, but rest assured they will be on their way to logical conclusion.

I believe that communication is the key to organizational harmony, so we have decided to immediately launch two initiatives:

  • HR Hotline
    HR Hotline is a monthly initiative, where employees will have an opportunity to talk directly to Director HR and share challenges and barriers that are hampering their performance at the workplace. The HR team will be available on HR Hotline - a dedicated IP number (2401) on the first Tuesday of every month (02:00 PM to 05:00 PM), starting from April 2023. Your concerns will be documented and responded to within 48-72 hours (wherever possible).

    You are requested to observe the following guidelines:
    1. Maximum time allowed for each call is 5 minutes.
    2. This is not the forum for Harassment reporting or Whistle Blowing.
    3. Apart from these simple rules, please feel free to discuss your work-related concerns and focus on how you can increase your effectiveness.

  • HR Helpdesk
    It has been observed that concerns and requests directed to a single individual may seem to take longer to reach the right person; hence an email address hr-helpdesk@iba.edu.pk has been created to provide a centralised platform for all requests directed to HR. The inbox will be curated daily, and requests will be directed to the concerned individual at the earliest.

Together, we can do anything; After all, this is the IBA!
